Recognising Our Spirit Helpers
So many man made teachings say we all have to ‘meet’ what they call spirit guides and that we all have to have names for them. This is nonsense as I said in a previous post just recently. However, it can happen that you are given names, just most natural mediums aren’t as we don’t need them to be able to work with them. As natural mediums, we will have spirit activity around us a lot and will recognise as soon as they come near us, but how do you know which are your special helpers then and not just any spirit if you don’t actually do the man made teachings of meeting them. Far more easily than you think.
All Sensitives have experiences through their lives and when it gets to the stage of really being pushed to start recognising we have to work, this is when our main helper steps forward and lets us feel them. All we need to do is sit quietly and learn to recognise the signs. With some mediums it is itching they’ll feel, yawning is another one (mine), one ear burning or something else that you recognise as happening quite a bit when there is spirit activity around you. What you do when you realise this pattern, is ask if this is your main spirit helper or not. To check if it is, ask them to move back and stop whatever it is you’re feeling. When that happens, say thank you and ask them to now step forward again and give you the feeling again to just confirm it really is definitely your main helper. They will then do this immediately you ask them to. Thank them and now in future, you will know the difference in feeling them apart from other spirit activity. it is that simple.
If it doesn’t happen, it means it isn’t your main spirit helper you’re feeling, it is just spirit activity around you. There are those who will tell you they shouldn’t be there and who get dramatic and start saying you’ll drain yourself and you should close down and stop them coming. If all they’re doing is coming to be near you, what’s the problem? They aren’t draining you at all. They just want to be near someone who recognises they still exist. This visiting by spirits often happens when two or more Sensitives get together for coffee or a chat. The more mediums there are together, the more spirit activity can be felt and the room can get freezing cold.
Once you start working with your main helpers constantly, you won’t keep feeling them as you’ll just know they are there as you learn to trust each other. The only time you will is when they make you work when you weren’t expecting to and this isn’t very often. I feel mine these days when I write something I’m not sure about. If I hesitate over it, they let me feel them if it is something I should be saying. If it is something I shouldn’t, they make my face burn and I know to stop. If it all seems confusing, don’t worry, it will become clear the more time goes on. All you need to do is sit back and let it happen – I did.

How Do We ‘Find’ Spirit Guides?
How do you find your “guide” and what exactly is a guide? That is a question put to me on our Sensitives Group page and it is a good one. For those who have read my books, you’ll probably know that spirit helpers and spirit guides are two very different things. Spirit helpers are the ones we work with when doing readings or demonstrations of mediumship (not that I like demonstrations at all). They were once of our world and are now working in the spirit world to help us with our mediumship.
Spirit Guides are the ones who help us on our spiritual journey and make sure we go on the right path for this lifetime. They also use some natural mediums to help spread their words throughout the world so we all know how we should be living and what is to maybe be ahead for the planet we live on.
Now for the question about how we ‘find’ our guides or helpers. We don’t is the easy answer, they are already with us from birth – well, the main ones are anyway. We have some appointed to us from birth who will stay with us thorough our lives. There are others who will pop in and out from time to time as and when their particular skill or message is needed to be given to help us.
In my Guide’s Guide book (which is channelled), they ask why it is that so many people feel they have to give them names and why they think they have to ‘meet’ them. This is man made teachings again as they all say we have to go somewhere to meet our helpers (they always get the name wrong and call them guides) and ask their name so we can work better with them. That may be the case for man taught mediums, but Sensitives have no need of any of that at all and more often than not these people make up their own names just to call them something.
There is an odd occasion when we will be given a name, but this isn’t every time by any means and is not at all necessary. So many people waste so much time and money on classes and workshops where they are told they will meet their guides. This is another way of making people spend money on believing something will happen that isn’t as real as they believe it to be. Most of the time when this is happening, they are not working with high energies again because they are deliberately trying to ‘call up’ something and so end up being deceived by lower energies that what they’re seeing is their spirit helpers when it isn’t at all..
Why do we need to meet them when we can feel them or just know they are there anyway? It won’t make any difference at all to how well we work together. The standard of our work is solely dependent on our ability as a medium and how well we work with and listen to our helpers. We do not need a name. What would we use it for unless we want to be like some seen on television who like to keep using the name every two minutes to try to show they’re talking to someone and make things look more exciting and awe inspiring to those with no understanding of what’s really happening.
There is no need to say more on this, just save your money and stop going to places that make all sorts of promises to you about what they can make you do or achieve. It might be well enough for man taught people as they love all these classes and things they’re told to do, but for naturally gifted people there is no need at all for this role playing. If you’re meant to know their name or ‘meet’ them, they’ll make it happen naturally and there is no earthly need to pay anyone money to try to force it to happen – unless you want to fool yourselves as much as they do.
If any of you want to know more about being a Sensitive, How To Know If You’re a Medium is a book crammed full of questions that most of us have experienced or asked in the past and helps you understand what might be happening. It is also a good book for those wanting to understand what a natural medium experiences. A Guide’s Guide to Mediumship and Healing is a book that helps give instruction on who should and shouldn’t be mediums, the differences between psychics and mediums and a whole host of other things like automatic writing, inspired writing, psychometry and more, all spoken in the words given by the spirit world themselves. Although both books are fine to read as an e-book (on Lulu.com) or on Kindle (Amazon), they are most probably better as printed versions too (Lulu.com is far cheaper than Amazon for these) as you’ll find you’ll want to refer back to them again and again – so I’m told! I hope this has helped some of you a little bit and if there’s anything else you need to know, please just ask.If you support natural mediums and healers, are one yourself or just believe there is a difference to natural and man taught, please see our Sensitive’s group on Facebook and ask to join to show us you support what we do. Thank you.
