We Must Love Sinners as Well as Saints
Most people reading this blog will think of themselves as spiritual people, which is why they’re here. But what exactly is a spiritual person and how do they really behave? Are you spiritual just on the outside or are you spiritual on the inside too with God truly in your hearts and souls? How many of you will actually read the whole of this article I wonder given its subject matter?
Today, we hear of yet another mass murderer who ran riot killing others and then himself. How many people on hearing of this event prayed for the soul of the murderer as well as his victims? How many of you reading this are now sickened by what I’ve just asked? I ask you to read on to see why I’ve asked what I did for as true Sensitives, we have a job in this world to do and it is not to run, hide or condemn as easily as others might. Look at Jesus and how He would have behaved at this news, look too at Gandhi as an excellent example in today’s world of how a true spiritual person thinks and behaves.
I am not asking anyone to accept what they’ve done as being right as it disgusts and sickens me as much as it does the rest of you, I just want you to think for a minute about what your attitude as a spiritual person is to them. God asks us to forgive as He does. When asked how many times one should forgive, His answer was one that meant, for as long as a person breathes. God does not condemn anyone until their last breath is drawn as there is always the chance someone might recognise the error of their ways and become truly sorry. It doesn’t change what they’ve done, but we who profess to be truly spiritual are meant to have a deeper understanding than those who aren’t and are asked to pray for their souls.
As a true spiritual person and Sensitive, you are meant to lead the way for others to follow by your example. Have forgiveness in your hearts and compassion – not hardness. By praying for those who do the worst things the world can see, maybe you can, by your very compassion, gentleness of heart and good example, encourage others to behave the same way. For when you harden your hearts, you banish God from your lives too as He cannot live where there is hatred. Soften your hearts, pray for the sinners and invite God to live within you at all times so you can lead the way for others to re think their lives and maybe become as you.
By behaving with hatred, you are being as they are with badness in your hearts. That doesn’t mean you can’t be very upset and saddened. Do you remember when we were told to love our neighbours as ourselves? Well, he didn’t anywhere say we had to like them!
Jesus came into the world to save sinners and if He can forgive and try to help then surely that is what we must do too? We have to put our own thoughts aside and pray for them to change their ways. I can hear some screaming at this point that murderers didn’t give their victims that chance so why should we try to help them. The reason is because we are the better people with a deeper understanding of God and what it is He would want us to do. You are calling yourself spiritual, so show that in your deeds as well as by your words.
Jesus didn’t turn His back on beggars, thieves, murderers and liars. His last words on the cross were to a thief who repented at His last breath and who actually prayed for Jesus then asked Him to remember him when He went to His Father. At this request Jesus said, ‘Today, you shall be with me in Paradise’. This person He saved at their last breath, whilst the thief on the other side He ignored and turned His face from as his heart remained hard and he never repented.
It is easy to love those who are nice to us and to the world, but it takes a far greater man to be able to love and pray for those who hurt us or others by whatever means. People are like sheep and love to follow. Be as Jesus was and teach the ways that are wrong, but try to help and guide by example. As I say, Gandhi was the best role model for this in today’s world. By condemning a murderer to death or wishing that upon him, we become no better than he is. By having hatred in our hearts as they do, we become as they are.
Murderers, paedophiles, rapists, people who hurt or torture animals and all manner of other things we can think of that’s bad disgust or frighten us are people we all shy away from. We always say we will pray for their victims – as well we should, but we should also be praying for them. What they do may be very wrong, but many of these people may be sick and not able to recognise what they do is wrong and how do we know if this is the case or not? Some of you might dislike this article very much because I am asking you to stop and think for a minute about those who commit the worst crimes we can think of.
There are some criminals who do know what they’re doing is bad – or even downright evil – but they still can’t help themselves and a small number of these do actually genuinely repent later on and can turn their lives around totally. We still might not like what they’ve done, but how often do we sit and really think about the person behind the crime? What was their life like, who were their role models during their upbringing, their state of mind at the time and all manner of other things that can be taken into consideration?
Many may ridicule this as being about Heaven and Hell, but is it? If we are to come back here and live more lives having to experience those things we did against others, then surely it stands to reason that what we have in our hearts now, will decide what it is we have to experience in our next life or lives.
Those who read all of this article will be the ones with the true spirit and God within their hearts and not just on the surface for all to see. To be as it says above is very hard to achieve and do and we won’t manage it all the time, but practice makes perfect and the main thing is to try our hardest. You are the ones who will make a difference to the world and who will lead by example. You are the ones who will make a difference and maybe save someone’s souls – or many souls. You are the truly Blessed of all.
Sensitives leading the way
Sister Briege McKenna – The Healing Nun
This week has seen a visit by Sister Briege McKenna to Somerset where she has been very warmly welcomed. For those who don’t know, Sister Briege is a Catholic nun who has the wonderful gift of healing. She was very ill and herself received a miraculous cure. She travels the world doing talks and retreats as well as attending healing masses. I was to have had a chance to meet her during this visit and sadly, it never happened. I was to meet her at my sister’s house on the Thursday over a meal, but due to circumstances the day was changed to the Tuesday and so I missed meeting her.
However, one thing has come to me from her visit to our country (she now lives in America) and that is I now know why I am on the path I am and in the why I’m doing it the way I do. As you all know, I believe in God 100% and give credit to him for all I do and ask others to do the same. I wondered why I talk about and work with the spirit world as much as I do as it is something I battled with for many years - in fact, until I was 50 years of age. It went against all my church taught, so I couldn’t understand why God was giving me the gifts I had if I wasn’t meant to have them.
I know many others battle with this problem too, but then I listened to a video of Sister Briege doing one of her talks and question and answer sessions. I put the link up on one of my group pages for others to listen to also. It was amazing. I sat with tears running down my face – no lie – and had someone else contact me saying the same thing. others too said it was like listening to one of my own talks and question and answer sessions; it was like reading one of my books. There was one glaring difference. Sister Briege talks of God and the Sacraments and I talk of God and the Spirit world.
I now know why I am doing this work the way I am. It has made things so clear to me and so her visit has done wonders for me already even though I never had the chance to meet her. She is doing this work through the church (which is how I wanted to, but wasn’t accepted as I am a lay person) and I am doing the same work only reaching those who often don’t believe in God or religion. It is said in the Bible that we all come on different paths and this is so true, but it just shows how we can bring others to Him through our work as well by treading different paths.
I often get letters from people saying there were considering going to their spiritualist churches and were stopped from doing so after having read my books. Others have left their spiritualist churches after it was pointed out to them they refuse to acknowledge Jesus, that He lived in our world as one of us and was (and is) the greatest healer the world has ever seen. I have people say they thought they could only believe in God if they were part of a religious community and I have had many others re-think their ways about how they believed their gifts (no matter what they are) were just within themselves and came from no other source. My words have made people think and question and I know God is guiding me on this path and this is why I couldn’t stop it even when there were times I tried to.
I too have had strange ‘cures’ that can’t be explained and I will talk of these next time. He has a plan for me and for us all and for some wonderful and miraculous reason, He has chosen me to help spread the word. I don’t question why just as I never questioned why I was so ill years ago, I accept it is what has been decided for me. Sister Briege is a wonderful worker and person who touches many people wherever she goes. I may not have been blessed to meet her this time, but she has managed to bring me a gift of healing all the same, by allowing me to accept the way I am doing this work. Thank you Sister Briege and I wish you safe travel and God speed in all you do.
