Lorraine Holloway-White is also known throughout the world as, A Sceptical Medium. The reason for this is because she checks where everything she gets during her readings comes from as much as anyone is able. She does not accept that everything some people get comes from the right place or from a high energy. A believer in God  she always gives credit to Him for all her work and as she respects all beliefs and unbelief’s people might have she only asks that they respect hers also.

Lorraine is a natural born medium, natural healer, author & spiritual advisor who helps people worldwide. She is determined to educate others about the perils of some teachings seen in forced mediumship and healing, but her main task is to help those who are themselves possibly natural born mediums, and who have nowhere to turn to for help or advice. Those who have not been born with the gifts have no understanding of what it is like to discover at an early age that one is ‘different’ from others. Many things happen that can leave them confused and bewildered as things come and go for many years until one day, it all gets to a point where they need help in understanding what’s going on. She helps with that confusion as much as she can.

High prices charged & entertainment style mediumship with dramatics & silly voices are also on her hit list. It is her direct approach & honesty that people like most about her as she advises how these gifts should really be used & not abused.

Her understanding is, there is no one in this world who is able to prove life after death, but also, that there is no one who can disprove it either. This is a subject matter that causes a lot of discussion amongst believers, sceptics and those who just don’t know what to think of it all. It can cause a lot of heated discussion and Lorraine hopes that her books and teachings help some people find something they can relate to in what she has to say.

Like most genuine and natural mediums, she enjoys success without the need to charge huge sums of money for anything she does and her reputation with clients all over the world speaks for itself. She now does public speaking trying to educate people about natural and forced mediumship, how she wants to see teaching methods changed and entertainment style shows recognised for what they really are. Although ‘shows’ on mediumship have a place in educating about the possibility of life after death, she feels they have got out of hand and need to be limited in size with amounts charged for ticket prices reduced.

The Past:

Lorraine married at sixteen to a man who suffered from schizophrenia, which meant life wasn’t going to be easy. Neither she not her husband were aware of his problem at the time. The marriage produced a son, Philip who means the world to her. Sadly, after several years of trying to help her husband with his illness, the marriage came to an end. In the most selfless act of love she has ever seen, he left her and his son in the U.K. returning to his home country of Canada.

The reason he gave was that he was scared he would do something awful to one of them and he loved them too much to take that chance. His was a violent form of schizophrenia and they could never be sure what he would do to her next or when. A generous, kind and loving man when not taken over by the voices in his head, his life was blighted by the illness from which he sadly never fully recovered. He died in 2009 and his memory is still held very dear to her and their son whom he met up with again in later years.

After several years alone, Lorraine re-married and found more problems faced her from various quarters only this time from mental abuse at the hands of several people which resulted in a near breakdown. She is still in that marriage and has now been married to her present husband for 29 years.

In 1991, Lorraine founded and organised two major charities under the name of Lorraine Goodrich. One, Parcels for the Gulf supplied the armed forces during the first Gulf war and the second was an International relief aid agency called, British Aid for the Kurds that supplied £200 million of relief aid to the Kurdish people in the aftermath of that war. Due to this work, she appeared on television, in newspapers, did radio interviews regularly and she even met Princess Diana on two occasions. The enormity of this achievement, meant she was thrown into the spotlight overnight and became very well know (albeit briefly).

Back to the present:

Her life has never stood still for very long and her many experiences are what help her understand many of the problems she sees others facing in their lives. Although a caring and generous person who loves to help others, she holds no prisoners and speaks her mind. Her straight talking shocks some who are not prepared for those who speak their minds in this manner.

She respects all beliefs and unbelief’s others have as long as they don’t hurt or mislead others, will answer any questions put to her about what she teaches and writes, but refuses to acknowledge the insults hurled by sceptics with totally closed minds who just like arguments. Any other sceptics who are genuinely seeking to be shown there just might be some truth in these matters are welcome to contact her at any time – after all, isn’t she too a sceptic?

This is a very small section taken from an e-mail reading I did for someone, who I now know to be a fellow Authonomite. In this reading, I knew nothing about a book she was writing and personal feelings she had about making it public.

Your mother is the first one who comes through, hence the suffocating feeling and the smell of fumes which I couldn’t at first identify. She wants you to know that she is around you and you must do whatever you want. There is no one you can hurt by telling your story now as they have all gone.

Oh holy shit.. it’s my mother. Her name is Doris or Dolly.
My mother died by carbon monoxide poisoning. That’s the smell… . She must hate me right at this moment. They are close??? She would have suffocated from the fumes of the car. I have been to my fair share of people and not one of them ever picked up on my Mom.

You are exactly right

(((((hugs))))) YAY!!!!! Yes, K.. is his sister. He has another younger sister named S… K.. is 19… and living with her beau, J…. – S…A… is 10…and L…., she’s my empath. She saw Ben in the car first… she smelled the cigarette smoke of Grandpa Jim (or…maybe now it was my Mother… the smell was overpowering).

I know that it is because of who you are that you do what you do… I can feel that. But at the spiritual plane, the soul connection… I will repay you.

So I haven’t lost him then. I can continue to let go because I want him to be free of anything I would do/say/feel keeping him here. The grief is selfish… and that would not be what I would want for him.

Sue: I find that most people are skeptical of mediums until they have lost someone close to them. I was brought up that looking for signs other than what were to be found in the church was a sin, and that the darker powers were the ones responsible for those signs. How terribly ignorant an idea that is.

Lorraine came to assist me at the time that I finished my book and was looking for validation without really realizing that was what our communcation was going to be about. I haphazardly sent her four pictures of my son, Ben, who had suicided at seventeen years of age. Three of the pictures were of a vertical “light” that was off to the side of my camera angle, in the shot, and could have been easily excused as a camera malfunction had they not stopped the minute that day had ended. The camera never did that again. The fourth shot was of my daughter going into the backseat of a car to retrieve a ponytail holder — and my son’s spirit was seated behind the driver’s wheel.

I sent these to Lorrainebecause more than 50% of the people who look at that photo of Ben behind the wheel do not see him. My husband can’t see him, my father could not see him, and it was very plainly visible to others. I did not tellLorraine to be looking for anything in that picture.

So, she emailed me back asking me who the boy in the driver’s seat was.

To say that I was elated would be an understatement. I had someone who had a medium’s abilities verifying that I was not crazy. That’s exactly how it feels, a little bit crazy.

She emailed me again and what began was a conversation between Lorraine, two people I have been looking to talk with for a long time, and me. She went on to say that she felt as if she was suffocating and had ringing in her ears. She said she smelled something very strong, like fumes. I supposed that she smelled gunpowder because Ben’s death was caused by a self-inflicted wound from a .20 gauge shotgun to the head. No…she said, that isn’t it. It took me about two more emails to figure out that the person she was referring to was my mother, Dolly. Dolly died from carbon monoxide poisoning in 1975. Never — never, and I have been to at least three psychics, had anyone picked up on my mother. I was stunned.

Through the reading, Lorraine confirmed that my maternal grandfather was responsible for something that I had suspected, but had been unable to verify because all of the witnesses were dead. I did not get specific with her or give her a lead — she made the statement:
